Gerard Evan David Kehlor, 82, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born on August 4, 1931 to Evan and Loretta (Egan) Kehlor in Cumbola, Pennsylvania and raised in Ashland, Pennsylvania.
Gerry received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University in 1953, and served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was the Director of Contract Administration for the Department of Defense, retiring after 30 years of service. Gerry was a member of St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church in Fishers, Indiana, and was an avid golfer. Enthusiastically involved in his grandchildren's youth sports as their biggest fan, Gerry was also a loving husband, dad, and grandpa.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Canfield) Kehlor, who he married on January 30, 1954; daughter, Kathleen (Bob) Pierson, and grandchildren, Bradley, Mack, and Shannon Pierson; son, Bob (Shari) Kehlor, and grandchildren Brian, Yulia, Daria, and Nick Kehlor; daughter, Ann Marie (Pete) Brucia, and grandchildren Evan, Grant, and Abigail Brucia; and son, David (Eunice) Kehlor, and grandchildren, Zachary, Rachael, and Audrey Kehlor.
In addition to his parents, Gerry was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Loughran; and brother, John Kehlor.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oak Ridge Road, in Carmel, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.
