Gregory J. Hunt, 72, died early last Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Mr. Hunt was born on Valentine's Day in Detroit, Michigan and was the youngest child of the late Montague and Ella Hunt.
Mr. Hunt was known to be the first to reach into his pocket for a neighbor in need, for making sure he had a handkerchief on hand, and for ornery responses revealing wit and wile. Mr. Hunt earned a reputation as "The Voice of..." his place of employment because of his charisma, hard work, and dedication.
A hockey, football, and auto racing statistician who might well have found success in a broadcasting booth, Mr. Hunt named members of the Michigan Wolverine football roster and suggested plays for the Wolverine coaching staff while still emerging from anesthesia after heart surgery in 2003.
Mr. Hunt is survived by a daughter, Kimberly, a son, John, two nieces, a nephew, and a dear family of friends, neighbors, and associates.
A visitation for Mr. Hunt will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1685 Westfield Rd, in Noblesville.
