Gwen Holland

Gwen Holland, 80, of Fishers, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2011. She was born January 26, 1931 to Robert and Ivanell (Lovell) Houx in Altus, OK.
Gwen retired from AT&T-Indiana Bell. She started as a long-distance telephone operator in 1965. She was past secretary and treasurer for the Communication Workers of America (CWA). She was a member of the Red Hat Society; an avid poker player; and liked to quilt.
She is survived by son, Robert (Teresa) Holland; daughters, Christi Crain & Teresa (John) Perazzo; son, Anthony (Jennifer) Holland; sister, Bobbye Ward; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Gwen and Roy were married on August 28, 1950 in Edmond, OK. Roy preceded her in death in 1999.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
