Hazel M. Box

Hazel M. Box , 96, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab - Allison Pointe (Castleton) in Indianapolis. She was born on October 28, 1919 to Elmer and Freddie Sara (Collins) Minchew in Lake Village, Arkansas.
Hazel retired from Firestone Industrial Products in 1978 after 28 years of service. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Noblesville, where she loved directing the choir.
She is survived by her sons, Donald (Abbey) Box and Harold (Shirley) Box; brother, Morris Minchew; sister, Barbara Gibson; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Box who passed away in 2001; and three sons, Bobby, Curtis and Howard Box.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with Pastor Michael Ross officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
