Helen Ann Fleet

Helen Ann Fleet, 88, passed away on April 28, 2015 at Allisonville Meadows Healthcare Community in Fishers, IN. She was the daughter of Sam and Stella Zappi, born on October 1, 1926, in Youngstown, OH.
She was married to George Fleet, Sr. for 41 years, until his death in 1987. Her parents, sister, Anita Papagna, and brother, Rudy Zappi preceded her in death.
Mrs. Fleet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished time with her family, and worked as an executive secretary. She was an avid golfer, and was a member of Ulen Country Club in Lebanon, IN; won an Indianapolis Pro-Am Championship; and scored a hole-in-one in 1995. Always fashionable, she loved Frank Sinatra music.
Mrs. Fleet is survived by her son, George (Pat) Fleet, Jr. of Greensboro, GA; daughter, Roni (Kurt) Green of Noblesville, IN; and brother, Sam Zappi of Macon, GA. She adored her grandchildren, Mackenzie (Dusty) Hackleman of Noblesville, and Adam Green of Chicago; and her great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Jace Hackleman. She loved her six nephews and nieces, and their families.
Visitation will be from 10AM to noon on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers. Interment will follow immediately at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis.
