Helen Goddard

Helen Marie Goddard, 91, of Westfield, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born on June 6, 1922 to Charles and Bertha (Mills) Pope in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Helen was a homemaker and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was an artist, and had won a scholarship to John Herron School of Art. She enjoyed singing in the St. Pius Choir, and played the organ and accordion. Helen was a great cook, and helping others was her passion.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Shirley) Goddard, Richard Goddard, Linda (Jeff) Stewart; grandchildren, Lauren McGlone, Kathleen Gillum, Christopher & Joshua Goddard, Angie Setmeyer, Leann Foster, Jennifer Roberts, and Jeremiah Goddard; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Goddard in 1991; son, Gary Goddard in 2010; two brothers and four sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 17102 Springmill Road, in Westfield, with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
