Helen McColgin

Helen Carey McColgin, 94, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born on June 14, 1920 to Lowell and Minnie (Kessinger) Carey in Westfield, Indiana.
Helen graduated from Purdue University, and was a Home Ec teacher for 14 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of First Christian Church of Sheridan, and formerly of the Westfield Home Ec Club, Sewing Guild, and Outlook Club.
Helen is survived by her husband, William E. "Bill" McColgin, who she married on September 26, 1943; sons, William C. (Rebecca) McColgin, Bob (Alice) McColgin, Jim (Libby) McColgin, and Jerry (Tara) McColgin; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Allison.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 23, 2015, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with visitation from 9:30 am to the time of service. Rev. Vernon "VJ" Stover will officiate. Burial will be at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Westfield.
