Helen Margaret Wedmore, 86, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at her home in Westfield. She was born on June 23, 1927 to Arthur Daniel and Helen Margaret (Kramer) Couch in Chicago, IL .
Helen worked as a bookkeeper for various companies in the Noblesville area for many years. She also worked as a switchboard operator for Indiana Bell in the 1950's. Ms. Wedmore served in the Army Nurse Corps during peacetime.
Helen was a former member of First Presbyterian Church in Noblesville and enjoyed singing in the church choir for many years. She was also a former member of both the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge in Noblesville. Helen was an avid bowler, and enjoyed playing euchre, bingo, and bridge. Ms. Wedmore also loved to do puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Candace M. Perry, Arthur L. (Shirley) Wedmore, Sandra M. (Tom) Moore, Keith L. Wedmore, Kevin L. (Beth) Wedmore, and Teresa M. (Jeff) Weber; brother, Daniel Couch; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Hawkins, and her brother, Arthur Couch.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, Noblesville. A memorial service will follow starting at 7:00 P.M. Entombment will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
