Herbert Allen Benton

Herbert Allen Benton, 60, of Elwood, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood. He was born on July 13, 1963 to the late Paul and Hilde (Blatz) Benton in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

Herb received his undergraduate degree from DePauw University and masters degree from Purdue. He worked as a greenhouse manager for 35 years, and a chemical applicator for Pebblebrook Golf Course. Herb loved camping, reading and fishing. 

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Susan Benton; daughters, Emily Benton and Jennifer Benton; sister, Charity (Scott) Myers; as well as several nieces & nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
