Hilda Moon

Hilda Moon, 79, of Westfield, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015 in Leesburg, FL. She was born on August 29, 1936 to Gerald and Dorialice (Hayworth) Gerard in Noblesville, Indiana.
Hilda had been involved with the IN State Fair for several years, where she had been the Superintendent of the Western Horse Show and the 4H Horse Show. She was a past-president of the Indiana Quarter Horse Association, and secretary for the Indiana Saddle Horse Association. She was a member of the Eastern Star; was an avid gardener; and enjoyed cooking for her family.
She is survived by her children, Debby Elliott, Marty (Beth) Moon, Malinda (Bob) Mohler, Mike (Maureen) Moon; sister, Susie Knill; brother, Jim Gerard; four grandchildren, Kiya, Armand, Lindsay and Chelsea; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin M. Moon; son, Kenneth G. Moon; sister, Barb Blazier; and son-in-law, Lee Elliott.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville. A private graveside service will be held at Eagletown Cemetery, in Westfield, with Pastor Jack Terry officiating.
