Hillard H. " John" Blakley, 75, Noblesville, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 9, 1934 in Kettle, Kentucky to Ress and Clyde (Melton) Blakley.
John had worked for Warner Body for over 20 years. He then ran Blakley Salvage Yard for over 20 years. He loved race cars.
He is survived by daughter, Mitzi (Dennis) Bradfield; daughter, Jacki (Bernie) Pine; son, Hillard "Bud" (Tracy) Blakley; daughter, Mindi (Dan) Blakley-Howell; three brothers, Payne, Mack and Lewis Blakley; three sisters, Arvella Abney, Bobbie Kakadelis and Pebbie Burch, 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ida Blakley; and brother Russell Blakley.
Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, Noblesville, with Pastor Bud Blakley officiating. Friends may call Friday from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
