Howard C. Box, 71, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born on October 28, 1941 to Norris and Hazel (Minchew) Box in McArthur, Arkansas.
Howard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all. He worked at Vibromatic as a metal machinist before retiring after 50 years. He was a 1959 graduate of Noblesville High School where he was inducted into the Athletic Department Hall of Fame for the 1958 undefeated football season.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon D. Box; mother, Hazel M. Box; daughter, Angela Box; sons, Howard C. (Margaret) Box, Anthony C. (Janet) Box, Nicholas C. Box; brothers, Donald (Abby) Box, Harold (Shirley) Box; grandchildren, Alexander & Jordan Huber, Benjamin C., Rachel L., Joseph C., Noah, and Levi Box, Jacob C., Micaela M., and Matthew C. Box, and great-grandson, Keaton A. Huber.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brothers Bob R. Box, and Curtis E. Box.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am immediately prior to the service. Rev. Richard D. Bell will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
