Howard S. Short, 85, Noblesville, formerly of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. He was born on December 19, 1927 to Verne and Clara (McQuiston) Short in Knox, Indiana, who precede him in death.
Howard owned his own TV sales & service store in Linden, IN for 40 years, and served in the United States Airforce during the Korean War. He was a member of the Crawfordsville Elks & Eagles, the Moose Lodge, the American Legion in Darlington, IN, and the Masonic Lodge in New Richmond, IN. He loved Purdue, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed watching Nascar. He also enjoyed flying in his Cessna 172, but spending time with his grandchildren, and great grandchildren is what he loved the most.
He spent 62 years of marriage with his loving wife, Rosie Short, she survives him; daughters, Cindy (Glenn) Whitaker, Marsha (Jim) Curry, Della Grimes; brother, Glenn Short; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
