Hugh David Locke

Hugh David Locke, 81, Noblesville, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born January 22, 1926 in Elwood, Indiana to Beatrice Jack and Harry Locke.
Mr. Locke has been an educator and taught one year at Curtisville Elementary in Tipton County, one year at Edgewood School in Anderson and thirty-four years in the Noblesville schools with fourteen years as principal. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of First Christian Church in Noblesville. Mr. Locke was a graduate of Elwood High School and received his bachelor and masters degrees from Ball State University. He was also a member of Noblesville Lions Club and Indiana Retired Teachers Association.
He is survived by wife, Martha Locke of Noblesville, son, Hugh (wife, Rachel) Locke of Fishers, son, Ernie (wife, Kathy) Locke of Greenwood, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Jay and Glenn Locke.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Rev. Eric Brotheridge officiating. Friends may call Friday, January 18, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville, Indiana.
