Ila Mae Schuck

Ila Mae Schuck, 81, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018. She was born on August 17, 1936 to Robert and Florence (Mitchell) Arthurs in Chicago, Illinois.
Ila grew up in New Augusta, and graduated from Pike High School in 1954. Ila was married to William Mark Schuck (deceased) from 1962 - 1984. In 1969, Ila and Bill adopted their daughter, Ellen. During their marriage, they lived in Chicago, Illinois, Scotch Plains, New Jersey, and Ridgefield, Connecticut. 
Through her life, she did a little bit of everything, from being elevator girl at Block's Department Store, to various clerical positions (including working at American National Bank, Riverview Hospital, and the Hamilton County Senior Center) to being a homemaker and devoted mother. 
She loved to play the piano, sing, and paint. She was also was an avid reader and movie watcher. Ila never knew a stranger, and was well known for her ‘feisty' sense of humor. 
She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Elizabeth (Tony) Patterson; a granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Carrico; brother, Robert Edward (Florence) Arthurs,Jr.; and three nephews, Benjamin, Vincent, and John. 
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville at a later date.
