Istvan "Steve" Kovacs

Istvan "Steve" Kovacs, 79, of Fishers, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at his home. He was born on September 27, 1936 to Ferenc and Barbara (Varga) Kovacs in Ké¶mé¶rÅ', Hungary.
Steve worked as a Butcher for A&P Grocery and several other grocery stores for over 30 years. Steve came to America as a refugee during the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 to start a family.
He is survived by his sons, Peter (Fredda) Kovacs and Sven (Barbara) Kovacs; grandchildren, Alexander, Julius, Nikolaus, Alyssa, and Lauren Kovacs; three siblings, Gizi, Sandor, and Gyula; and former spouse, Ingeborg Kovacs.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his siblings, Feri, Maria, and Bé¶zsi.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, with Chaplain Rob Mifflin officiating.
