Jack Lee McLaren, 86, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. He was born on January 14, 1927 to Alexander and Marion (Weir) McLaren in Clinton, Indiana.
Jack was an U. S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Rose Hulman, class of 1950, where he was captain of the football team and a member of Theta Xi Fraternity. Jack was employed in the service department of the engine division of Caterpillar, Inc. for 37 years retiring in 1986. He was a former Elder of East Peoria Church of Christ, and Westlake Church of Christ, Indianapolis and currently a member of Green Valley Church of Christ. He was also the president and chairman of the board of Christian Schools in East Peoria, Illinois.
He is survived by wife, Genevieve M. McLaren; daughters, Julie Wilson (Ted) and Jerri Palechka (James); five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, James A. McLaren and A. W. McLaren.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Green Valley Church of Christ, 19005 Cumberland Road, in Noblesville, with Reverend Jim Dillinger officiating. Inurnment will be at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana.
