Jack R. Sherley, 87, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville. He was born on June 4, 1925 to Hollis and Betty (McCreary) Sherley in Tipton, Indiana.
Jack retired on June 4, 1985, from the Naval Avionics Center after 20 years of service and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He had also worked as a manager for Hoosier Dairy and a machinist for W.C. Kirby. He attended First Church of the Nazarene in Noblesville; was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge; and a past-member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by wife, Virginia Sherley; daughter, Vicki Shelton; son, Mike (Pam) Sherley; daughter, Beth (Dennis) Grote; son, Andy (Jamie) Sherley; sister, Imogene Duvall; five grandchildren, Toya (Aaron) Jones, Chris (Jim) Jackson, Greg (Theresa) Sherley, Brad Grote & Alyssa (Jered) Earls; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Runyon; and a brother, Max Sherley.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with Pastor Michael Ross officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
