Jacqueline Bauer

Jacqueline Kay Bauer, aged 77, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 17, 2025. Jacqueline was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Illinois and in recent years had exchanged the city for a more rural life in unincorporated Noblesville, Indiana. She loved watching the squirrels, ducks, rabbits, and other creatures in the front yard, enjoy the food she left out for them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Bauer in 1988. She has spent the last 37 years enjoying the company of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Jacqueline is survived by her children, Denise (Michael) Morris, Michelle (Matthew) Bookstein, Elizabeth (Mark) Grover, Wesley Bauer, and Joyce Bauer. She also was "Nana" to a dozen grandchildren, Amber (Brian) House, Michael (Patricia) Morris, Thomas Morris, Kyle Grover, Danielle Bookstein, Joseph Morris, Emily (Noreen) Griffin, Matthew Bookstein, Koribeth Bauer, Kayla Grover, Abbigail Pesola, and Merrick Bauer. Jacqueline has enjoyed being "GG" to many great grandchildren and was blessed to spend many years watching her children and grandchildren grow their own families.

Jacqueline served the children of her Chicago community for many years as a home daycare provider, until she retired and has enjoyed a life of bird watching and crafting. She was an avid animal lover and often shared stories of her childhood on her aunt's farm and her pet raccoon that would follow her to the pond for a swim.

She had talked recently of her faith and was looking forward to going home to her Savior and being reunited with family members that have passed, specifically her beloved grandfather, who was very influential in her life.

Per Jacqueline's request, there will be no service or funeral. The family has asked that, in honor of her love of God's creatures, donations be made in her name to the Anti-cruelty Animal Shelter in Chicago. Donations can be made at anticruelty.org/donate
