James R. Arbuckle, 76, of Noblesville, passed away on the evening of Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. He was born on February 23, 1940 to Russell and Julia (Chambers) Arbuckle in Indianapolis, Indiana.
For over 40 years, Jim worked in installation and repair for Overhead Door, retiring in 2006. Antique dealing was his passion and hobby, and he also enjoyed raising a garden. Jim was a family man; he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, and treated everyone like they were family. He loved watching sports, especially the Indianapolis Colts, the IU Hoosiers, and NASCAR, as he was a huge Jeff Gordon fan. Jim had a wonderful personality, and was known for his kidding and (mostly) teasing.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Arbuckle; daughters, Dawn Moos and Beth (Dave) Lawler; son, Brad (Michelle) Arbuckle; grandchildren, Adam Moos, Allison Moos, Cassie Arbuckle, Kaitlyn Arbuckle, and Jay Arbuckle; great-granddaughter, Scarlett; special family, Nobbi, Arshi, & Jesse Singh; sister, Jane (Mac) McMurtrey; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Greg Moos.
