James Atwell Sr.

James M. Atwell Sr., 81, Noblesville, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 in Iron City, TN. He was born on March 29, 1932 to Casey and Frances (Pennington) Atwell in Iron City, Tennessee.
James was a retired electrician, having worked at Noblesville Casting for 38 years, Indiana School for the blind for eight years, and Pendleton Reformatory for four years; and was a member of Green Valley Church of Christ in Noblesville. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a Korean War veteran.
He is survived by two sons, James M. Atwell Jr. & Jeffery C. Atwell; two brothers, Johnny Atwell & Bud Atwell; three sisters, Polly Durham, Elaine Durham & Barbara Gray; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Laura, Justin, Matthew, Emily, Madelyn & William.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene L. Atwell.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 9, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with Jim Dillinger officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
