James C Balke, 91, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. He was born on September 28, 1919 to Frank and Velma (Pimberton) Balke in Union County, KY.
James was a retired truck driver for McMahon Food Company. He was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the Noblesville American Legion. He loved hunting and fishing. He and his wife, Margaret, were married in 1949. She preceded him in death in 2002.
He is survived by sons, William (Judy) Yates, James (Barbara) Balke, Vernon (Beverly) Balke; half-brother, John (Tomico) Turner; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Westfield.
