, 73, Noblesville, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 at Riverview Hospital. He was born December 9, 1934 in Sheridan to James A. and Addilia (Koehler) Beam.
James retired in 1988, after 35 years with Chrysler in Indianapolis, where he had been a lift truck operator.
He had attended Sheridan Schools; was an avid race car fan, and had previously been a Sprint car driver. He and Vivian had been married for 54 years.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Beam of Noblesville; daughters, Dr. Teresa Beam (& husband Dr. Eric Adolph) of Noblesville, Patty Beam of Greenwood, and Kay Giles (& husband Fred) of Noblesville; sons, Dr. Roger Beam (& wife Kim) of Trafalgar, and John Beam (& wife Susie) of Noblesville; sister, Mary Lou Young of Kirklin; 14 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers.
Services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, November 7, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Minister Loyd Brown officiating. Friends may call Thursday, November 6, 4:00 - 8:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riverview Hospital for cardiac renovations.
