James E. Crook, 77, of Westfield, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 6, 2015 at ManorCare Assisted Living of Summer Trace in Carmel. He was born on June 1, 1938 to Robert and Ethel (Literal) Crook in Louisville, Kentucky.
James retired after 20 years as a project manager for General Motors. After retirement, he was employed with IMMI in Westfield, for 12 years. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army, and was a member of East 91st Street Christian Church in Indianapolis.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Moser Crook; sons, Dr. Andrew (Kathy) Crook and Matthew (Frannie) Crook; daughter, Jill (Aaron) Gick; brothers, Robert Crook and Marcus Crook; sister, Beverly McGee; and eight grandchildren, Joshua, Benjamin & David Crook, Callaghan & Eila Crook, and Abigail, Nathan & Samuel Gick.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 10, 2015, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers, with Dr. John C. Samples officiating. Calling will be Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Randall & Roberts. James will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
