Larry DeFoe, 67, of Elwood, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born on March 20, 1946 to Edney and Robbie (Weaver) DeFoe in Iron City, Tennessee.
Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army, and worked as a welder at Warner Bodies for more than 40 years before he retired in 2007. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved gardening, and was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia DeFoe; sons, Larry A. (Jody) DeFoe, and David DeFoe; sisters, Dorothy Craft, and Bernadine (Herbert) Franklin; five grandchildren, Tristyn, Heather, Noah, Tad, and Ethan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Flowers, and Marie Smith; and brothers, Edney Lee DeFoe Jr., Billy DeFoe, and Howard DeFoe.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with Pastor Fred Knoll officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery.
