James Alvin Haag

James Alvin Haag, 60, of Westfield, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Copper Trace in Westfield. He was born on February 3, 1956 in Indianapolis.
James worked for the City of Carmel for over 35 years, and had proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy. He could fix or build anything, and enjoyed taking things apart just to put them back together. He was especially proud that he built his fireplace. His hobbies included riding his Harley, Volkswagen Clubs, and any type of racing (especially stock cars). He was very family oriented and enjoyed coaching his children's soccer teams.
He is survived by his wife, Becky (Clark) Haag; children, James (Amanda) Haag and Jamie (Scott) Bender; grandchildren, Cameron, Sebastian, Gavin, Marissa and McKenna; siblings, Kevin Haag and Barry & Bobby Hallman; and several nieces & nephews. James and Becky were also surrogate parents to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Haag and Shirley (Hauger) Hallman; two infant grandchildren, Tyler Haag and Rebecca Bender; and his grandmother, Theodora Hauger.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Burial with military honors will be at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery in Westfield.
