James D. Johnson, 68, Noblesville, passed away Friday, January 4, 2008 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born June 30, 1939 in Pennington Gap, Virgina to Lula Mae (Millian) and L.J. Johnson.
James was a vetren of the United States Army, then went on to retire from the Indiana State Highway Deptartment after 21 years. He was an active member of the Christ Community Church of Hamilton County and the Noblesville American Legion.
He is survived by wife, Patricia Ann (Molina) Johnson of Noblesville; step-daughter, Tina (husband, Kenny) Whitesell of Strawtown, IN; step-sons, Randy Watson of New Orleans, LA., and Gene (wife, Trish) Watson of Broken Arrow, OK; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by eight siblings.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Christ Community Church of Hamilton County, 1516 Morton Street, in Noblesville, with Chaplain Thomas Burton officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Nobleseville.
