James T. Miller, 96, of Noblesville, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 27, 2016. He was born on February 11, 1920 to Earl Clarence and Margaret Loretta (Shea) Miller in Muncie, Indiana.
James retired from Transamerica Insurance Company and Mid-State Farmers Mutual Insurance. He was a long-time member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. James proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II aboard the USS North Carolina in the Pacific.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela A. Miller; his children, Margaret L. Aul, James Michael Miller, and Eleanor Maureen (Jim) McKahan; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; son-in-law, Jim Aul; step-daughters, Barbara Syphers (Ed Sanderson), and Shirley Bookout; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by the mother of his three children, Ruth Miller Schoff; and the mother of his two step-daughters, Eunice Miller.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville. Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 410 S Pearl Street in Cicero, with Rev. Dale W. Ehrman officiating. Entombment will follow at 2:00 pm at Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana.
