James Bernard "Bernie" Morgan, Sr., 76, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at his home. He was born on April 28, 1935 to Robert E. and Frances (Fagan) Morgan in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Bernie was a lifelong farmer, real estate broker for Morgan Realty, and a former teacher. He was very active with 4-H for many years, and he started a 50 year Morgan family tradition at the Hamilton County 4-H Fair. He was a charter member of Fishers Lions Club, and an avid antique tractor collector.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Jane (Lepper) Morgan; two sons, James Morgan, Jr., and wife, Jodi; Phillip J. Morgan, and wife, Tink; daughter, Sylvia J. Morgan Kapil, and husband, Ritesh; four grandchildren: Michael J. Morgan, and wife, Elaine; Matthew T. Morgan, Katie Morgan, and Lucas R. Kapil; four sisters: Mary Coppess, Marie Lasley, Marilyn Brennan, and Marcia Fox; two brothers: Robert and Don Morgan; plus his beloved pet, Peyton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with Pastor Rebecca Fisher officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia.
