James Lynn Mork, 73, of Fishers, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. He was born on May 25, 1943 to Roger Mork and Beverly (Devereaux) Mork Strohm in Scandinavia, Wisconsin.
James worked for Eli Lilly in pharmaceutical manufacturing, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed traveling, golf, gambling, and played volleyball with a local volleyball group. James was a kind and generous person who loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Windhorst) Mork; children, Terry (Juli) Mork, Tonya Mork (Julie Gebauer-Mork), Sean (Mayumi) Grant, and Ashley (Matt) Gard; siblings, Harlan VanMatre, Jill (Marty) Martin, Pam Stanczak, Connie Freeman, Robin Strohm, and Sandra Boucher; grandsons, Alexander Mork, Christopher Mork, Brian Grant, Kyle Grant, and Liam Grant; and granddaughters, Adalynn Gard and Daylynn Gard.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his step-mother, Martha Johnson Mork; step-father, Robert Strohm; and brothers, Dennis Mork, Keith Mork, and Gary Mork.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with Rev. William Johnson officiating.
