James 'Jim' Robert Robinson, 64, Noblesville, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at The Indiana Heart Hospital. He was born December 3, 1944 in Noblesville to Kenneth Stewart and Jean (Campbell) Robinson.
Jim had worked for U.S. Food Service for 39 years, first as a truck driver and then in the warehouse. He was a 1963 graduate of Noblesville High School, and had served in the U.S. Army, as a radio operator with the Military Police in Vietnam.
He loved his grandchildren, and NASCAR (especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. & Jr.). He was an avid bowler, and was the secretary of the Thursday night bowling league in Noblesville.
He is survived by daughter, Mindi (Jason) Price, son, Tony (Jenni) Robinson, brothers, Steve (Julie) Robinson & Gary (Chris) Robinson, sister, Janice Lintz, and step-brother, Dale Robinson, all of Noblesville; half-sister, Christine Lancashire of Austin, TX; and six grandchildren, Payton Cooke, Adalyne, Alexis & Jason Lee Price, Christopher Allen & Kaiya Anne Robinson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a half-brother, Michael Robinson.
Services will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, April 6, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Rev. Richard D. Bell officiating. Friends may call Sunday, April 5, 1:00 - 6:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
