James Lee Stephens, 56, of Noblesville, died from injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Texas on Friday, November 11, 2011. He was born on January 1, 1955 to Richard Lee Stephens and Lynne (Crandall) Hess in Anderson, Indiana.
He graduated from DePauw University and was the owner of Fas-Weld Distributors International.
James is survived by his wife, Melinda Stephens; parents: Richard and Jude Stephens, and Lynne (Crandall) Hess; sons, Casey (Samantha) Stephens and Greg Stephens; step-sons, Brandon (Renee) Godby, Zachary Godby and Taylor Norris; step-daughter, Autumn Godby; granddaughter, Aaliyah Rohrman; sisters, Sue Howard (Dennis) White, Kelly Stephens (J.R.) Roudebush, and Stacy (Jeff) Chemelewski; and brother, John Andrew (Joann) Stephens.
His brother, Eric Lewis Stephens, was also killed in the same accident as James.
Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 17, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with visitation from 4:00 pm to service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim's memory, may be made for the benefit of his granddaughter, Aaliyah Rohrman, and any future grandchildren, in care of First Merchants Bank, Westfield branch.
