Emma Jane Roudebush

April 30, 1929 - January 6,2025

Emma Jane Gilpin was born outside Eagletown, Indiana to Mary Floy (Edwards) Gilpin and Frank "Doc” Gilpin on April 30, 1929. She was always a country girl in fact and in spirit. And spirited she was.

She met and married Bernard Leon Roudebush, a returning World War II veteran, in 1946. They created a life together during 72 years of marriage, in and just outside Noblesville, Indiana.

Jane worked for many years and retired from Western Electric, helping to make telephones by welding together the necessary circuitry wiring. After retiring, she began giving in-store demonstrations to promote various food products.

She enjoyed her role as home-maker and loved the outdoors. Jane loved her walks in Brown County, spending time with family friends, and creating wonderful homemade sweet treats for those dear to her. And she possessed a mischievous sense of humor, as many of you readers of this know.

ln addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ten siblings, her husband Bernard, and an infant daughter, Connie Annette. Jane is survived by her only son, Ronald W. Roudebush, son-in-law Clark G. Mitchell, and many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks is due her nephew, Steve Mayhew, for all the transportation, assistance, support and joy he provided these past several years. She appreciated you greatly.
