Janice H. Schwier

Janice H. Schwier, 86, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Noblesville, Indiana. She was born on January 25, 1939, to Russell and Hazel Schwier in Batesville, Indiana.

Janice was a retired 2nd grade teacher at Jackson Elementary School in Seymour, Indiana. She was the students’ favorite teacher. Janice enjoyed spending time with her family and eating healthy food.

She is survived by her sister, Jerilyn Miller (David) of Vincennes, Indiana; brother, Jerry Schwier (Margie) of Noblesville, Indiana; nephews, Jeff Miller, Matt Miller (Liza), Jason Schwier (Megan); and niece, Krista Hickman (Brandon); along with 6 great-nieces and 7 great-nephews.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Hazel Schwier; husband, Gunther Hochmiller; and cousin, Joyce Mollenkopf.

A memorial service will take place later in Batesville, Indiana. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Janice.
