Janis J. Schneider

Janis J. Schneider, 85, of Fishers, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Community Heart & Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on January 20, 1937 to Marcus and Anna (Griffith) Gossard in Tipton County, Indiana.

Janis worked as a secretary for the Alpha Chi Omega Headquarters and for the Noblesville School System for 10 years. She was a member of Noblesville First United Methodist Church.

Janis is survived by her son, Michael A. (Tamara) Schneider; daughter, Julie J. (Paul) Congress; brother-in-law, Don Fraser; 2 granddaughters, Sarah Congress and Emily Brion-Schneider; and Trey Woodley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Schneider; sister, Marilyn Fraser; and 2 brothers.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with services at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Pastor Melissa Litka will officiate. Burial will be at Kempton Cemetery in Kempton.
