Jean I. (Gilkey) Crask, 92, Noblesville, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born May 26, 1918 in Noblesville to Ray and Bertha Elizabeth (Heinzman) Gilkey.
Jean graduated from Noblesville High School in 1937. She helped run Crask Grocery in Noblesville, which was a family business. She also ran the kiddie rides at Forest Park for 18 years. She belonged to The Noblesville Senior Citizens Organization, Modern Woodman, and helped start the Meals on Wheels Program in Noblesville. She was a member of First Christian Church, in Noblesville. She was married to Orval for 69 years.
She is survived by her husband, Orval Crask of Noblesville; sons, Gary (Kathy) Crask of Bloomington, Minnesota; Bill (Carla) Crask of Noblesville; and Jim (Julie) Crask of Noblesville; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 4:00PM on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with Pastor John Davis, officiating. Friends may call Sunday, August 8, 2:00 - 4:00PM at the funeral home. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, August 9, 2010 at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
