Jeannette B. Ryder, 95, of Oaklandon, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Hamilton Trace of Fishers.  She was born on October 27, 1921 to Roy and Bertha (Lanning) Bennett in Rush County, Indiana.
For 16 years, Jeannette worked at Fort Benjamin Harrison, retiring in 1974.  Prior to that, she worked as a nurse at St. Francis Hospital.  Jeannette was a member of Outlook Christian Church in McCordsville, and was active in the Red Hats Society.  She loved to bowl, and enjoyed playing cards in several card clubs.  Jeannette was also a seamstress, and enjoyed cooking, flowers, and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Mike) Lynn; sons, Stephen (Kim) Jewell and James (Pam) Jewell; four grandchildren; as well as several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Ryder; and her granddaughter, Angela Lynn Jewell.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with visitation from 11:00 am to the time of service.  Pastor Rob McCord will officiate.  Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
