Jennie Lee McVey,64, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on June 23, 1953 to Franklin Elmer and Mary Agnes (Lannan) Arney in Washington, Indiana. Her parents preceded her in death. Jennie was a registered nurse, having received her RN diploma from the Deaconess School of Nursing in Evansville. She also received Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology certification. She attended the Castleton Church of the Nazarene and was a raconteuse and pianist. One of her greatest pleasures was playing gospel music on the piano while singing with her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed horseback riding and traveling to explore other cultures (especially Hawaii and Europe), but her greatest treasure was spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Malon McVey; daughter, Aubri A. (Edward) McVey Leung; sister, Cherryl A. (Forrest E.) Fields; two brothers, Frank D. Arney and Ronald R. (Evett A.) Arney; brother & sisters-in-law, Donald E. (Louise) McVey, Rosalen J. McVey and Mary Jane (Steven) Block; and many nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews. Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with Rev. Mark Hiehle officiating. Visitation will be from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the funeral home, with additional visitation beginning at 11:00 am on Saturday prior to the service. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Fishers.
