Jerrel E. "Jerri" Hunter

Jerrel E. "Jerri" Hunter, 91, of Carmel, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Sunrise on Old Meridian in Carmel.  She was born on August 30, 1929 to Jesse and Beryle (Metsger) Towe in Burlington, Indiana.

Jerri married Bob Hunter in 1951.  Bob & Jerri established a legacy, raising 3 daughters on a farm in Howard County.  Jerri was an elementary teacher for Western School Corporation.  Bob & Jerri wintered in Naples, Florida where they developed a close circle of friends.  Most of all, Jerri loved her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Andy) Cook, Beth (Dan) Smith, and Jennifer (Jon) Huston; 9 grandchildren, Ben (Alison) Cook, Susan (Joshua) Hyde, Brian (Holly) Cook, Jessica Coyner, Katie (Bryan) Will, Evan (Lindsay) Smith, Matthew Huston, Megan (T.K.) Rock, and Mark Huston; and 19 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jerri was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson "Bob" Hunter in 2009; 2 great-grandsons, Levi Cook and Zachary Hyde; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.

No services are planned at this time.  Jerri's care has been entrusted to Randall & Roberts Funeral Homes in Noblesville.
