Jerry Downs

Jerome 'Jerry' Vincent Downs, 56, Noblesville, IN, passed away Monday, August 23, 2010 at home. He was born March 26, 1954 in Indianapolis to James Herbert and Betty Jane (Gabbei) Downs.
Jerry was a school bus driver for Hamilton Southeastern Schools. He had also been a tax advisor for H&R Block; and had worked for Marsh Supermarket and White Industries in Fishers. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville; the founder of  The Wee Wabbit Club; and a 1973 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis.
He is survived by his father, James 'Bud' Herbert Downs; his wife, Paula Downs; son, Rich (Natasha) Downs; two grandchildren, LaRen & Makahla Downs; brother, John (Peggy) Downs; and sisters, Cathy (Mike) Maxwell, Brenda (Ken) Heatherly & Trina Beauchamp. He will be deeply missed by many wonderful nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane (Gabbei) Downs; stepmother, Marjorie Downs; and four brothers, Jack, Jim, Joe & Denny Downs.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, August 27, 2010 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 125 North Oriental Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202-3886 with Father John Zahn officiating. Friends may call Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers. Burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. 
In lieu of flowers, Jerry asked that memorial contributions be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 125 North Oriental Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202-3886.
