Jerry S. Murphy, 70, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville, IN.  He was born on September 22, 1947 in Albany, Kentucky.
Jerry was part of the Greenwood graduating class of 1966. He proudly served in the US Army. Jerry was the past 1st Commander and past Trustee of the Noblesville American Legion Post 45. He worked for AT&T for 33 years before retiring.  Jerry enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and star gazing with his telescope. He enjoyed watching any kind of sporting event.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Foutz) Murphy of 13 years; son, Scott Murphy; daughter, Johanna (Jeff) Hotopp; grandchildren, Jared and Katie Hotopp, Alicia (Josh) Long, Katelyn Murphy; great-grandchildren, Alex, Logan, and McKenzie Long.
He was preceded in death by his father, Schyler Murphy; his mother, Ada A. (Chaney) Bullock; and his brother, Jack Murphy.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with Pastor Eric Gale officiating.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to service. Military honors to follow the service at the funeral home.
