Gerald "Jerry" Warner, 71, of Kokomo, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel. He was born December 12, 1940 in Noblesville, the son of Gerald and Marthanna (King) Warner. Jerry was a member of the Noblesville High School class of 1959. He and Sandra Sue Hale were married on July 14, 1960. She survives him.
Jerry was an electrician for Firestone Industrial products in Noblesville for 8 years. In 2002, he retired from Chrysler Corporation of Kokomo, after 26 years as an electrician. Upon retirement, Jerry and Sandy moved to French Lick, IN, where they lived until returning to Kokomo in 2011. Jerry was a proud member of UAW Local 685; and a lifetime member of the Noblesville Masonic Lodge #57.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, Sandra Sue, he is survived by his son, Warren Alan (Tammy) Warner; grandchildren, Shannon (Nathan) Name & Austin Gerald Warner; sisters, Wanda McConnell & Cindy (Larry) Seymour; brothers-in-law, Bob (Jan) Smith, Dwight (Gloria) Smith, Richard (Ruthie) Hale & Lanny Hale; sister-in-law, Delcie (Don) Loller; and several nieces &nephews, and great-nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Raymond McConnell.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00PM on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1685 Westfield Rd, in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 4:00PM immediately prior to the service.
Jerry was an avid outdoorsman who loved being in nature. In keeping with his love of hunting and fishing, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Jim "Moose" Carden Kids Fishing Clinic in Kokomo; or, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
