Jill Cox, 68, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis after a battle with cancer. She was born on January 1, the first baby born of the year 1950 in Lebanon, Indiana, to Joseph and June (Taylor) Blazier. For 27 years, Jill worked for Riverview Health as a scheduler. She was known for helping people in times of trouble, and loved caring for people and putting their needs before her own. Jill taught her daughters to never give up. She had an undeniable willpower for life, her faith, and her family. Jill enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Noblesville Moose Lodge 540. She is survived by her daughters, Jamie Abbott, Cyrena Cox, Michelle Smith, Dawn (Jerry) Campbell, and Melissa Pennington; brothers, Joseph Nelson (June) Blazier II, and Jaye Eugene (Connie) Blazier; ten grandchildren, Brandon Carroll, Jessica (Cox) Melerowicz, Zachary Lutz, Matthew Pennington, Aaron Lutz, Alyssa Abbott, Luke Pennington, Adi Campbell, Jerrod Abbott, and Emma Abbott; six great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Jill was preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Cox; brother, James Blazier; sisters, Joerena Strong and Judith Arney; and her maternal & paternal grandparents. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville. Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the funeral home, with Rev. Michael Harris officiating. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
