Joan Elizabeth Garcia

Joan E. Garcia (nee Plys), 78, of Carmel, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab - Bridgewater in Carmel. She was born on September 16, 1938 to Joseph and Madeline (Polack) Plys in East Chicago, Indiana.
Joan was a hard working wife and mother, and managed a Citgo station for many years. She enjoyed her Budweiser and cigarettes, crocheting, her plants, dancing, and spending time with family fishing and playing games - especially cards and dice.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Richard Wayne Garcia; children, Debra (Patrick) Nisevich, Richard Garcia (Lisa M. Faulkner), Tony (Robyn) Garcia, and Diana (Allen) Linn; grandchildren, Daniel Nisevich, Melissa (Kyle) Brown, Carly Smith, Anthony Garcia, Luke Garcia, Johnathan Ferguson, Carolyn Ferguson, Sarah Linn, and Scott (Laura) Linn; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family; dear siblings, Marion Donathan and Gerald Plys; sister-in-law, Helen Plys; brothers-in-law, Mike Bosak and George Tanner; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe & Barb Garcia; and long-time friends, Dave & Angie Lucero, Jerry & Donna Lovich, Keith & Millie Rich, and Rosemarie DeRosa.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her sisters, Leona (Edmond) Davenport, Doris (Ervin) Paliga, Dorothy Bosak, and Lois Tanner; brother, Joseph Plys; and grandson, Phillip Nisevich.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with visitation from 11:00 am to the time of service.
The family requests no flowers, but instead have a mass said for Joan, donate to your favorite charity, or just have a Budweiser and a toast to her!
