Joan Randall

Edith Joan Randall, 84 years old, died on Monday, June 25, 2012 in Riverview Hospital. She had been a Noblesville resident for the past six years.
The daughter of Virgil and Goldie (McClintock) Anderson, she was born January 14, 1928. On October 3, 1947, she married Morris A. Randall in Noblesville, IN.
A graduate of Noblesville High School, she worked briefly at Firestone Industrial Products and later in the Hamilton County Treasurers Office for 20 years. She was a member of the Esther Kay Home Ec Club for numerous years.
During the 54 years she and Morris lived on the family farm, they raised five children and enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. They raised St. Bernards for a number of years which led to many life-long friendships. Another interest they shared was rag-time music. They made annual trips to the Rag-time Piano Competition in Illinois, another interest which lead to many more life-long relationships.
She was an excellent seamstress and made many clothes for herself and her family. She enjoyed sewing for the home as well.
She was a member of Gray Friends Church where she was very involved in church activities and played the piano for many years.
For all of these many interests, nothing meant more to her than family: family gatherings for birthdays, holidays and trips. Everyone looked forward to these gatherings as she made them so much fun with good food and laughter. These good times also included extended family and friends. She'd go out of her way to make everyone feel welcome.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Randall, a daughter, Nancy Jeffries and a son David Randall, and a sister, Jenoise Thatcher.
She is survived by daughters, Lynn (Joe) Tharp, Lebanon; Dana (Gordon) Clemens, Warsaw; Lisa Clark, Mantua, Ohio.
