Joanne Sue Dick

Joanne Sue Dick, 82, of Noblesville, formerly of Moline, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville. She was born on November 12, 1941 to Frank and Freida (Elliot) DeVries in Des Moines, Iowa.

Joanne was a 1959 graduate of North High School in Des Moines, Iowa and attended Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota. Through the years she worked for the Des Moines Register, John Deere Insurance, Bethany Baptist Church, and Dr. Ben Shnurman as a secretary and transcriptionist. Joanne was a member of First Baptist Church in Silvis, Illinois. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, crafting, cooking, reading, and playing the piano. Joanne liked to watch the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Cubs, Clemson University sports, and University of Illinois sports. She loved playing games with her grandson. 

She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Lisa) Dick and Steve Dick; grandchild, Michael Dick; sister, Marilyn (Dick) Winn; and brother, Larry (Barb) DeVries.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Robert Dick.

The family would like to extend their appreciation of gratitude to Heart to Heart Hospice and Prairie Lakes Health Campus for their loving care of Joanne the last several years. 

Inurnment will take place at a later date at Rose Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Illinois.
