Joe William Burris, 82, of McCordsville, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. He was born on December 4, 1942 to Edgar Eugene and Alice Maxine (Lane) Burris in Noblesville, Indiana.

Joe proudly served in the United States Army with the 18th Artillery. He worked in the concrete business for many years and attended Calvary Christian Fellowship. In high school, Joe lettered in football, baseball, basketball, and track, and is in the Noblesville High School Hall of Fame. He enjoyed golf, and loved his family and his country. Joe was a humble, simple person whom everyone loved.

He is survived by his wife, Marlys Burris; son, Joe (Jill) Burris, II; daughter, Mandy (Scott) Smith; step-daughter, Lori (Troye) Bland; step-son, Todd (Amy) True; grandchildren, Regan, Payton, Madison, Mason, and Aiden; and great-grandchild, Gus.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Forrest Brown and his wife, Marian.

The Burris Family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Home with Joe's care.
