Joe A. Simala

Joe A. Simala, 74, Carmel, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009 at his home in Carmel. He was born June 16, 1934 in Poland to John and Helen (Rychlik) Simala.
Joe was the owner of his own business in the financial industry for over forty years. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Carmel. Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was also an avid gardener and devoted father to his wife and children.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dorothy L. Simala of Carmel, whom he married in 1967; his son, Jay (wife Lyndsey) Simala of Gurnee, IL; daughter, Jodi Simala of Chicago, IL; brother, John Simala of South Bend, IN; sister, Loretta Pickett of Florida; nephew Jon Simalia of Carmel; and niece Jonelle Lesniak of South Bend, IN.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Carmel, with Father Ted Rothrock officiating. Friends may call Sunday, March 15, 2:00 - 5:00PM at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary.
