Joe Stephens

Joseph 'Joe' Wayne Stephens, 54, of Westfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2014, surrounded by his family, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on January 23, 1960 to Joseph B. and Ruth (Benefiel) Stephens in Stuttgart, Germany. Joe was a graduate of Lawrence Central High School in 1978.
Joe married Karen Stephens on August 18, 1984. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Stephens of Westfield; children, Chris Simpson of Pendleton, Britni Stephens of Fishers, and Sean Stephens of Westfield; grandchildren, Cydni, Dillon, and Logan Simpson of Pendleton; dog, Ralphie of Westfield; and sisters, Denise Rath and Debbie Humes both of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph B. Stephens in August 1998; and his mother, Ruth Stephens in March 2009.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Eagle Creek Cemetery in Westfield.
