John âJay' Douthit, 73, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at home. Those who knew him will be surprised that the cause of death was not the consistently poor play of his beloved Vanderbilt Commodores football team. He visited most of the golf courses in central Indiana and the Caribbean. Jay took advantage of his years of retirement after a long career at the George F. Cram Company. The father of Eric (Jill) Douthit, Todd (Micah) Douthit, Brent (Anna) Douthit and Stacy (Travis) Fogg, he could be found at a number of sporting events, concerts and trips to the zoo with his grandchildren, Tate, Sam, Reid, Noah, JC, Jake, Ellis, Jack, Dailey, Caub, Luke and Max. He is also survived by his brother, Bill Douthit and numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces & nephews.
